Gibson 57 Classic Underwound Double Classic White Pickup

The ’57 Classic Underwound was created to provide a simple solution for players with naturally darker-sounding guitars and for those who also enjoy a brighter tone. Designed primarily for the rhythm position, it pairs perfectly with a regular ’57 Classic in the treble position and delivers clarity, balance, and excellent dynamic range.

Made to the same specifications as the original Patent Applied For humbucker™ pickups but with fewer winds, the ’57 Classic Underwound uses Alnico 2 magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers, and vintage-style, two-conductor braided wiring. The ’57 Classic Underwound features balanced coils for a smooth, creamy tone and excellent hum cancellation. They are also wax-potted to remove all internal air space and any chance of microphonic feedback.
