Based on a Les Paul Special II, the Gibson subsidiary is presenting a Slash Les Paul in the "Appetite for Destruction" design, an amber finish with zebra humbuckers. And so that true slash fan get their money’s worth, Epiphone has included a premium gig-bag and Slash Signature picks.
Slash has been part of the Gibson & Epiphone family for a long time and is considered to be the ultimate Les Paul player. In addition, he has also taken it upon himself to introduce as many people as possible to the world of the electric guitar. He works closely with Epiphone to make it possible.
The body of the Slash AFD Les Paul Special II is made of mahogany and is equipped with an AAA-figured maple veneer top, which together with the Appetite Amber finish gives the guitar an elegant appearance. The mahogany neck is bolted to the body and carries a rosewood fretboard. The D-shaped 1960's SlimTaper neck profile makes the guitar very comfortable to play.
A special highlight of the Slash AFD Les Paul Special II are the specially designed Epiphone Ceramic Plus Humbuckers. They are inspired by the Slash Signature Humbucker by Seymour Duncan, but based on ceramic magnets.
Also on board is a practical tuner from Shadow, which is inserted into the humbucker frame and thus fast and easy to use.
