The RG470PB features a poplar burl top on a meranti body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard with white dot position markers.

Components include an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, white Ibanez Quantum pickups with a pair of direct-mounted humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a mono-unit output jack with integrated metal plate, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
