The King of the Acoustic Basses

The new El Capitan J-200 Studio Bass is an outstanding choice for bassists who want an acoustic instrument with undeniable style and great sound, whether playing acoustically or plugged in. Taking its stylistic cues from the legendary SJ-200 (the King of the Flat-tops), it has pearloid crown inlays on its 20-fret Indian laurel fretboard and an iconic Moustache™ bridge. A solid Sitka spruce top is paired with layered mahogany back and sides for great tone, and the mahogany neck's 30.5" scale length and Medium C profile ensure hours of comfortable play. It also comes equipped with a Fishman® Presys VT™ under-saddle pickup and preamp, making it ready for any stage - or studio.
