The Artimúsica BD40GC mandolin guitar is a model shaped like a Portuguese guitar, made of solid wood.
This instrument has the sound of a mandolin in a form similar to that of the Portuguese guitar, which gives its name to this very original instrument, manufactured by one of the most prestigious brands of traditional instruments in Portugal: Artimúsica.
The woods used to make this mandolin have been selected and treated for greater longevity and superior sound quality. The top is made of solid spruce, which gives it a light tone in both sound and appearance, while the back and sides are made of solid walnut, cherry, or sycamore wood for greater depth and solidity, both sonically and structurally.
The neck is made of mahogany and the fingerboard is made of panga panga, a dark and very resistant wood, topped by eight traditionally shaped tuning pegs.
