Made in Japan Traditional 70s

The Fender Made in Japan Traditional 70s Jazz Bass RW is a faithful nod to a classic era, built with Japanese craftsmanship and Fender’s unmistakable DNA. An ash body in a gloss Candy Apple Red finish gives it a striking stage presence, paired with a 3-ply eggshell guard for that unmistakable 70s vibe. It’s solid, resonant and unmistakably Jazz Bass in look and tone, combining Fender’s heritage with MIJ reliability.

Its 34" scale length, “U”-shaped maple neck and 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard give a sturdy, confident feel that’s comfortable for long gigs. White pearloid block inlays keep the late-70s look alive, while the bone nut and vintage-size frets ensure classic playability. Two vintage-style single-coil pickups bring the growl and snap that Jazz players love, controlled with the tried-and-true V/V/T layout for endless tonal blends. With a vintage-style bridge, chrome hardware and a 3-bolt neck plate, this bass is built to gig hard and look the part doing it.
